Utilities menu options

 

The Utilities menu includes options for:

 

•Defaults
•Report Profiles
•Station Clusters
•Interviewer Scripts
•Add/Change Passwords
•Backup & Restore Data Files
•Change Databases
•Page Tech Support
•Renew License
•Configure Modem
•Select Printer
•Export Data
•Interviewer Alerts
•Scoring Options
•Change Browse Screen Colors
•Set Wallpaper
•Auxiliary Stations
•Set Global Data
•Override Settings
•Research Cycles
•Change Date/Time
•File Maintenance
•Calculator
•Convert Audio Files

 

Most of these procedures don't need to be changed or updated on a regular basis.  For this reason, it's advisable that before changing anything in the Utilities section of the program:

 

•Write down the values/entries for what you're about to change, before you change it.  This way, if something goes wrong, you can always go back to the previous values.  (When you're in a screen, if the printer is turned on, press the PrintScreen key on your keyboard, and a screen shot of the current values will be sent to the printer.)

 

•Read about the procedure you're dealing with in the User's Guide or online help screen by pressing the F1 key.  This might provide some insight or hints that you might otherwise not be aware of.
