ChangePrefixes

Changing/Adding Prefixes for number generation

You can build a list of as many or as few telephone prefixes as you desire.  Most prefixes are no longer limited to strict geographic boundaries, so it's difficult to target a specific area of any market based only on telephone prefixes.

If you have determined particular hot spots or want to include only known working prefixes from your market for generating random telephone numbers to call, this is where you enter that information.

To add a new Area Code/Prefix combination, click on the Insert button.  The area code will default to the area code from which you're dialing, but you may override this by typing in the new area code.

After the area code, type in any three-digit phone prefix you want to be included in the random generation of phone numbers.  Click Ok to save.

Adding Area Code/Prefix combinations is a recursive process.  You may add as many at a time as you desire.  You can always add more at any time, or change or delete any existing Area Code/Prefix combinations.

To change a specific Area Code/Prefix, scroll up or down through the list to locate the desired number.  If you have many in your file, you can jump right to the matching number, by typing the Area Code/Prefix in the Lookup box at the top of the screen, and pressing the Tab key. When the desired number is highlighted, click on the Change button, make any necessary changes, then click OK to save (or Cancel to return without saving).

To delete an Area Code/Prefix combination from your file, scroll up or down through the list to locate the desired number.  If you have many in your file, you can jump right to the matching number, by typing the Area Code/Prefix in the Lookup box at the top of the screen, and pressing the Tab key.  When the desired number is highlighted, click on the Delete button, and the record will be deleted.
